Thursday, August 5th
This morning I ventured off to Mirepoix
for the market, about 45 minutes away
through the mountains, and raining most
of the way. The fog was amazing rolling over
the mountaintops.
Village of Puivert..on the way.
I loved all the colors in
the town square..charming.

Monday, August 1st
Collioure
(I read on one website that
this place is virtually
undiscovered by tourists..
not the case anymore).
But beautiful nonetheless.
We had a nice lunch on the water...
fortunately under the umbrella since
it rained for about 20 minutes.
We stopped at this winery on the
way home..got to practice some French.

Saturday, July 17th
We were invited to stay at Tim and Kate's
this weekend which
was a real treat for us.
They are a British couple that we briefly
met the last time we came to France. They
have lived in France, near
Carcassonne for
the last 3 years but have recently moved back to the UK.
For lunch they took us to this winery/bistro.
-Chateau de Pennautier-
I had the Brochettte de L'Agneau
the best meal we have at at a
restaurant so far...yummy!

Friday, July 16th
Today we headed to Narbonne, Gruissan Plage
exactly to go sailing with Tim. Unfortunately
I didn't get any photos. It was a fairly
calm day but enough wind to sail.
You know when you are tired and
sun-burned
and its time to leave
the beach....
Yes, our car is the white one.
Shortly after finding our car
blocked in,
the people with the 2 cars
on both sides of us returned to join us.
We only had to wait about 30 minutes.

Thursday, June 15th
We all know the French love their
yaourt...or yogurt. This is my new
favorite yogurt..not sure if it's from
Holland or Germany, doesn't matter.
In the afternoon the girls and
I went to Lac Montbel with
Kate and Freya.

Les animaux de la France
For all you animal lovers....
this is an ongoing post
dedicated to all creatures,
small to great.
This kitty joined us for dinner
in Paris.
Honey, Tim and Kate's cat,
she purrs just like Lily.
Thomas the cat..he has to wear
a harness or he will get hit by a
car. He is naughty kitty.
Henry the dog..engaged
in his favorite activity.
H
enry with us at Lac Puivert
This dog we met in the ministry..
he was especially friendly.
This was very sad for me. One day while at
Lac Puivert the circus had arrived
and was setting up for the weekend.
We were very close to this guy..3 lions
and the tiger. I wanted to set them free.
This is one of Claire's cats.
This is a termite mound...up close.
more to come.....
